Weekdays in the early morning are least crowded. Especially Tuesday through Thursday you often have the attractions almost to yourself. On weekends and during school holidays it gets really busy – plan more time then!
Plan at least 8 hours for your visit. Real space fans can easily spend 10-12 hours there without getting bored.

3. Water bottle and snacks are allowed: Bring your own water bottle – it’s not only cheaper but also environmentally friendly. There are free water stations everywhere. Small snacks are also okay, just no big picnics.

5. Book Astronaut Training Experience in advance: The astronaut training is often sold out because only a few people can participate at once. Reserve either right when you arrive or online before your visit.
6. Plan IMAX films strategically: The IMAX showings are perfect for a break between attractions. Plan them for lunchtime when the sun is strongest outside.
7. Don’t miss Astronaut Encounters: Several times daily there are live conversations with real astronauts! This often isn’t in the program but announced spontaneously. Keep your eyes open!
8. Use the on-site pet kennel: Did you know there’s a free indoor kennel for your furry friends? Bring food, treats, and their favorite toys to make them feel at home!
9. The Space Shop has amazing features: Don’t miss the selfie station that creates an astronaut version of yourself floating around the store! You can also see the actual gantry the Apollo 11 crew walked across to enter their spacecraft.

Kennedy Space Center is definitely a must-see in Orlando! I absolutely recommend the version with the bus tour – the $24 extra is worth every cent. You see things that 90% of visitors miss and get insider knowledge firsthand.
Plan a whole day and bring comfortable shoes – you’ll walk a lot! The Center is huge and there’s so much to discover. Take time for the details: Read the info boards, watch the videos, and ask questions. The staff are real experts and love telling stories.
